Shishir Khanal arrived in China today for a four-day official visit focused on enhancing friendship, diplomatic engagement, and economic cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
The visit is taking place at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and is expected to provide an opportunity for both sides to deepen bilateral relations and discuss areas of mutual interest.
During the visit, Minister Khanal is scheduled to hold high-level meetings with Minister Wang and other senior Chinese officials. Discussions are expected to center on strengthening political ties, expanding cooperation, and advancing shared development priorities.
One of the major highlights of the visit will be an investment promotion event organized by the Nepali Embassy in Beijing. At the program, Minister Khanal is expected to encourage Chinese investors and business leaders to explore opportunities in Nepal and support the country’s development initiatives.
Before concluding the visit and returning to Nepal on June 17, the Foreign Minister will also attend a reception hosted by the Nepali Embassy, where he is expected to interact with members of the Nepali community residing in China.
The visit comes as Nepal continues efforts to strengthen diplomatic and economic partnerships with regional and international partners through investment, connectivity, and broader economic cooperation.
