Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited has announced that the auction of 474,696 units of unclaimed rights shares from its previous 1:1 rights offering officially closes today, 29th Jestha, 2083.
The auction had opened on 21st Jestha, 2083, following the completion of the company’s rights share allotment process.
According to the company, out of the total 40,00,000 rights shares issued to existing shareholders:
- 35,25,304 units (88.13%) were successfully subscribed by eligible shareholders.
- 4,74,696 units (11.86%) remained unclaimed.
As per regulatory provisions, the unsubscribed portion has now been offered through an auction process open to the broader market.
The original 1:1 rights issue was available to eligible shareholders from 22nd Chaitra, 2083 to 28th Baishakh, 2083.
Auction Details
- Total shares available: 4,74,696 units
- Type: Ordinary rights shares (unclaimed portion)
- Minimum bid price: Rs. 100 per share
- Minimum bid quantity: 100 units
- Eligible bidders: Both individuals and institutional investors
- Issue Manager: NIC Asia Capital Limited
Investors are permitted to submit bids for larger quantities, including all available shares, provided they remain within regulatory limits governing maximum allowable holdings.
The result of the auction will determine how the remaining rights shares are distributed among successful bidders after evaluation of submitted bids.
