Additional bonus shares of three listed companies have now been officially listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange following approval of their respective dividend proposals through annual general meetings.
Super Mai Hydropower Limited has listed 10,70,000 units of bonus shares in NEPSE. The company’s 11th AGM held on Falgun 17, 2082 approved a 21.11% dividend for FY 2081/82, including 20% bonus shares worth slightly above Rs. 10.70 Crores and 1.11% cash dividend (including tax) worth around Rs. 59.27 lakhs. With the listing completed, shareholders eligible for the dividend can now expect the additional units to be reflected in their holdings. As of reporting time, SMH was trading at Rs. 545.00.
Similarly, Neco Insurance Limited has listed 8,07,460 units of bonus shares. The company’s 30th AGM held on Falgun 11, 2082 approved a 15.7894% dividend, consisting of 3% bonus shares and 12.7894% cash dividend for tax purposes. Following the listing of the additional shares, NIL’s latest traded price stood at Rs. 620.00.
Likewise, NMB Bank Limited has listed 91,83,352.98 units of bonus shares. The bank’s 30th AGM held on Poush 24, 2082 endorsed a 10% dividend for FY 2081/82, split equally between 5% bonus shares worth Rs. 91.83 Crores and 5% cash dividend (including tax) worth Rs. 91.83 Crores. After listing the bonus units in NEPSE, NMB’s latest traded price stood at Rs. 237.90.
The listing of bonus shares increases the total listed share capital of these companies and enables dividend-adjusted trading in the secondary market.
