Global IME Bank Limited has announced the launch of its Udyamshala Program, an initiative aimed at promoting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Nepal. The announcement was made during an event organized on the occasion of World MSME Day, where the bank also opened applications for entrepreneurs and individuals with innovative business ideas to participate in the program’s incubation process.
According to the bank, the primary objective of the Udyamshala Program is to encourage innovation-driven individuals to become successful entrepreneurs while helping existing small and medium businesses become more sustainable and competitive. Speaking at the launch event held at the bank’s head office in Kamaladi, Kathmandu, CEO Surendra Raj Regmi said the platform was designed to address common challenges faced by entrepreneurs through practical training, mentorship, and expert guidance.
The program will operate under two major components: Incubation and Acceleration. The incubation track is designed for individuals with new and innovative business concepts who are uncertain about how to begin their entrepreneurial journey. Participants will receive support in areas such as capacity building, networking opportunities, and business mentoring. Meanwhile, the acceleration track targets existing businesses that are struggling with expansion or upgrading and will focus on growth strategies, technology adoption, market access, and stakeholder engagement.
Through the Udyamshala initiative, participants will gain practical knowledge in business registration, taxation and legal procedures, market research, production processes, financial management, and access to banking and financial services. Global IME Bank stated that the program reflects its broader commitment to supporting entrepreneurship and strengthening Nepal’s business ecosystem while continuing its record of recognition through multiple national and international banking awards.
