Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited has inaugurated its Digital Hub with Coffee Lounge in Gyaneshwor, Kathmandu, becoming the first bank in Nepal to introduce a café-style digital banking concept. The facility was officially inaugurated by the bank's Chairman Rajesh Upadhyaya and is designed to offer customers a modern, comfortable environment where they can conveniently access a wide range of banking services.
The newly launched Digital Hub enables customers to carry out essential banking transactions, including cash deposits, cash withdrawals, cheque clearing, and other digital banking services, while enjoying a relaxed café-like setting. The initiative is intended to enhance the overall customer experience and encourage greater use of digital banking channels.
According to the bank, the Digital Hub has been established to accelerate the adoption of digital banking, particularly among younger and tech-savvy customers. In addition to self-service banking facilities, the center will provide guidance and support to customers on using the bank's digital products and services, helping improve digital financial literacy.
Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank stated that the initiative reflects its commitment to delivering secure, technology-driven, and customer-centric banking solutions. Inspired by Nepal Rastra Bank's Regulatory Sandbox concept, the bank also plans to use the Digital Hub as a platform for promoting financial innovation and introducing new digital banking products and services in the future.
